We interrupt this Twilight blog...

True Blood. Just watched the Season 2 premiere. I think I've officially dumped Bill Compton for Edward Cullen. Loved the show but so did NOT love the last scene with Bill and Sookie. Yuck. I fear they've lost the magic and as a couple have jumped the proverbial shark. I will say HOO-RAY for Lafayette! Yey! He's alive! And Eric might be my new fav True Blood vampire. Stay tuned...

I can't believe that you even considered leaving Edward for Bill. I am reading the Sookie books and although Bill is a nice vampire, he just DOES not compare to Edward in the romance and protectiveness categories. TEAM EDWARD!!

Couldn't agree more! Bill is bordering on creepy for me this season (so far) and we all know that during the first season (well, Carol does anyway) that I was an Eric Northman fan. Altho I feel like I'm cheating on Edward, Eric is one delicious dish!
Couldn't be happier that Lafayette is still alive and according to the previews, possibly going to be turned! That would be AWESOME! I can only imagine the hijinks Lafayette as a vampire could get into...
I must read these books...Jenn M, what is the first one called? I got all confused at the book store last week and didn't buy any.
OK, back to our regularly scheduled Edward Cullen discussion...until next week's episode, anyway!

OK in my own defense, I loved Bill long before I ever read one word about Edward. When I first heard of Twilight, I was like "Yeah yeah whatever, I have my vampire". But last night's episode made it abundantly clear that once you go Edward, you can never go back. Bill does not compare. He's kindof creepy and seems like he would turn on anyone - even Sookie - in a microsecond. One only has to read New Moon to realize where Edward's loyalties lie. I am loving True Blood for characters like Lafayette, Jessica, Mary Ann, Eric, Pam, etc. But last night's disgusting, choreographed soft porn between Bill and Sookie really turned my stomach. Can we say "trying too hard"? I've grown to respect and admire Stephenie Meyer's "need to know basis" when it comes to vampire hook ups. So while I'm excited for next week, I'm still just as obsessed over Twilight as I was yesterday. Sigh.
