OMG guys I agree 100% with both of you!!! I want to read the books now. And I thought I'd think it was "eh" but it was really good! That dude did a tremendous job of conveying a good-guy vampire who always has a bad streak lying underneath. PS - Jenn - Supernatural sucks now. I love Sam and Dean - but it was a great show when they used to kill a new demon, witch, shapeshifter, etc every episode. This Devil/God stuff is sooooo boring and stupid.
I have to rewatch, since I watched with about 10 other people who were all making comments at the TV. But my initial impressions were that a lot of it was rehashing from various other teen shows of the last 10 years. The good-guy vamp looked disturbingly like Zach Morris. And Boone from Lost made for a HOTTIE bad vamp. I'd prolly watch again.
I have to agree, Tracey, that I was kind of 'meh...' until Big Bro Boone showed up. But then again...we ALL know that, all things being equal, I will choose the bad-boy vamp every time. ;)
I'm on board with reading these books too. Lets set a start date and read them together!
Heads up: I bought the first 2 books today at lunch. So I'm primed to go as soon as we're all ready.
Until then, I'm reading the 5th book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood: Lover Unbound. Uh, but at the rate I'm devouring those books, it'll only take me a day or two to finish it. (If you want a vampy sex book...and I mean total bodice ripping fun, I wholeheartedly recommend! Start with Dark Lover and follow thru. I love these sexy males!)

I thought I'd hate it and think it was just Twilight Redux, but altho similar, it was pretty good. I'll be back next week.
PS: Trying to watch Supernatural now...guess I shouldn't have skipped the first 4 seasons? LOL
