I think Marcus and Aro are good. And aren't Jane and Alec supposed to look young? I pictured Dakota while reading the book actually! Caius looks very young but I love Jamie Campbell Bower so I'm OK with him. You know what's funny? I kept picturing Carlisle with grey hair while I was reading the books. Sometimes the age thing is hard to wrap your head around because they're so old on the inside. LOL
Hmmm...I kind of like this casting. Don't you think that Dakota looks ruthless? That's exactly the look I would expect to see in Jane's eyes. I love the kid that they cast as Alec, he's just got evil written all over him.
I know what you mean, Kelly, about imagining them being old (aren't they centuries old?) but as vampires, they never age physically. I did imagine Caius a little older than this, but I'm willing to make the leap...anything that distracts me from the KStew casting.
I'm thinking they've probably done away with "paper thin" for the movies. It's a cool concept but very hard to do cosmetically. And if they can achieve it, will those who haven't read the books know or care? That's probably one of those details they're willing to forego. Along with main character's ability to do anything but sulk. WHOOPS - did I say that?! PS - Tracey - will Team Aro get you off Team Eric?! ;)
Re: "older"--by that term in the book, I figure old in the sense of "they were turned hundreds of years ago," not necessarily the age at which they were turned. But yeah, it does seem like they just should be older in the age sense as well--I figured all three main Volturi would be around the same age, and they're obviously not.
Yeah Jane and Alec are supposed to be yound so those two are good but with Dakota I still see her as young and sweet in uptown girls. I just cant wrap my head around her playing Jane! but I loe her and shes a good actress so Ill get used to it but as for Aro, Caius, and Marcus im upset that they dident make them a little more older like arent they supposed to have silvery hair and paper thin frail skin? and yeah I gues it would be hard to create but its an important part of the book they are the oldest vampires alive thats why there still in power.

yes thats exactly what I pictured not middle aged men I mean come on you couldent make them a bit older?
