Dudes, you can't MAKE this up. I just heard this song, "The Last Song" in my car... and I remember it from when I was a kid. (Shut UP. I know I'm old.) The text on my Sirius radio said:
"The Last Song" by Edward Bear
What's even funnier is it's about a dude who writes songs for his girlfriend. (OK alright, so I tie pretty much everything to Twilight. But c'mon. So do you.)

How do I love Lauren's Bite, let me count the ways...
So I'm checking email.... Google updates... various bogus Robsten reports. You know, the usual daily Twihard bullshizz. And all I see today is "15 minute New Moon teaser" blah blah blah. (I've watched it 75 times already. I need more cowbell.) And of course I check Lauren's Bite because I <3 her. Read today's post. How funny is "milkshake partner"?? ROFLMAO! Thank god there are people in the Twilight community with a sense of humor or I'd have lost m'damn mind by now (remember, this is purgatory, people!) So Lauren is my favorite person today. She's the new black. And she's going to be blogging live tonight during the awards, so check her out!

MTV awards - Twilight for "Best Kiss"?
This woman is nuttier than a double almond hazelnut cappuccino... but I love her. And I love this whole discussion. Make sure you watch the video. And I had ZERO idea that Rob Pattinson came into that audition with his "Dali hair". Holy hell. He's like a combo of Hugh Grant and Brendan Frazer. ON crack. IN an 80s movie.
Who loves ya, Baby?

Take. Deep. Breaths.
Thanks to Lauren from my favorite Twilight site - Lauren's Bite - for being the way cool chick she is and posting this for all to (gank) see.
Things that make you go "hmmmm"...
So is this really "Carlisle's" new website? Lots of cute updates about barbecues and Jenny and yoga. I rarely trust anyone on Twitter, except Jamie Campbell Bower, because his posts are too f'd up to be fake. Srsly.
I wonder if Peter F. is gearing up for his twitour where an unknown amount of Twilight fans will get their picture taken with him. Not that I pre-purchased a photo or anything. What kind of loser does that?

Dear "Edward", BRING IT! Love, Carol

Sigh. Rob SO doesn't get it.
So I just read this national ledger article where Rob P is talking about how he can't go out because everyone recognizes him... even with his hoodie and sunglasses... and he just can't figure out why. Gee. I wonder. And while musing that maybe it's his nose that's giving him away, he comments that girls don't flirt with him, but are scared to death to talk to him. To this I say:
HELLO?! MCFLY?! How is it POSSIBLE that you don't understand what's happening here, Rob? They don't really want you. They think they want you... but they really want Edward Cullen. And you aren't Edward Cullen. You just play him on TV. And if you don't want them to notice you, it might be a good idea to trade in your black jeans, black shoes, black hoodie and black hat for a nice pair of faded jeans... and maybe a green or possibly blue t-shirt. Or if you really want to be like Edward Cullen, you could sport a pair of khakis and a white v-neck, which is REALLY how Edward Cullen would dress. Not in black from head to toe, which Stephenie Meyer clearly stated he NEVER WORE. But that's my beef with the Twilight producers/director; not you. So either get some color into your wardrobe... or suck it up, Silly!

WTF?!
So I just found this on entertainmentwise.
This version has Bella and Jacob flipped. And it makes a hell of a lot more sense, don'tcha think?! (Except Bella's fingers. They're still really long and freakish.) Bella's choosing Edward over Jacob and Jacob's not happy. Exactly. Edward should probably be in the back but whatevs. This is still a better poster, even if it was Photoshopped. I still don't get the fists... but there was a lot of odd fist-balling going on in the books. So we'll overlook that, mmmkay?

Finally, something new!
Hi Mercedes - sorry - the video I uploaded got yanked from my site. I don't even remember who it was from - but they must not like their footage being shared. So testy! I'd think they'd like some PR. I know I would! But they've probably got 5 million viewers...whereas I only have about 6 or so. ;)
At any rate - here is a link to those new Summit photos. (Although you've probably seen them by now!) The original video I posted was only talking about these photos - so you'll spend less time looking at these than watching that! It's a win/win situation! :)

GOOD New Moon Artwork
Since I've been less-than-thrilled with the "official" New Moon artwork, I thought I'd post some fan artwork that I like a lot. All of these are from deviantart.com. What do you think?
From twlt4hcore. I LOVE how crazed Edward looks. And Jacob looks normal. And Bella looks depressed. All how they SHOULD look!
From Grodansnagel. I dig this. No Jacob - but Edward is all ghost-like and surreal and that makes me giddy with delight.

Forks or bust!
Check out this great article about Forks (in the Penninsula Daily News) from Marcia Bingham of the Forks Chamber of Commerce. I totally want to go to Forks and La Push. Let's just get that out on the table right now. The TwiTour will be fun - but how much would I love a girls' weekend in the Olympic Peninsula?! WHO'S WITH ME?!

Dear Nikki, You rock. Love, Carol
This is... in a word: awesome. I feel so much better, knowing we have an advocate in that cast who is pushing for them to stay true to the books. Check out this excerpt from an MTV interview with Nikki Reed:
"Reed did promise us, however, that she won't be going to Italy with hopes that Weitz will see her on set and decide he might as well interject Rosalie into some additional scenes. "Absolutely not," she promised. "No. I feel so strongly about them sticking to the books.

"In fact, there was a scene in a very early draft of the 'New Moon' [script] that they had invented that was not in the books," Reed revealed. "And there was a discussion, and that scene is no longer in the script.
"I don't want to be in more of the movie just to be in more of the movie — and I think if they do that with any of the other actors that it is ridiculous, because I think that the only way that we can succeed is to stick to the books," she insisted. "If you are worried about how to please the fans, you will fail if you don't stick to the books."
LOVE her! (said in my high-pitched voice). Forget what I said about the bad dye job they gave her in Twilight. It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is that she - and hopefully others in that cast - are working to make sure the films are as close to the books as possible. And that rocks.
